Now for a happy post! Things I’m grateful for that begin with the letter B!
Boobs – the first thing that popped in my head! I love my boobs, I’m so thankful for them! I love how they look, I love how they make me feel good about myself, I love when J touches them, and I love that I was able to feed Elsa with them.
Brains – my confidence isn’t all that high these days, but I am grateful for my brains. They helped me massively in school, they made getting a college degree and law degree seem easy. I’m not using them much these days. I’m struggling a bit with my identity, and even feeling like having book smarts doesn’t help you much. And I don’t feel smart these days. But I used to, so I am grateful for my brains.
Bear hugs – getting them from the people I love feels awesome!
Comfy Beds – it feels so good to get into our comfy bed at night, and it feels especially good when I roll onto my stomach and stretch out, I love our bed!
Babies – shocker that I’m grateful for babies! Babies bring joy, they make at least women happy when they see them, and when Elsa was a baby it was so amazing to have a baby of our own, to be able to hold her all the time, kiss her all the time, cuddle her and love her and watch her learn things and figure things out. The best experience of my life!
The Bachelor/Bachelorette series – oh such a guilty pleasure! I get sad whenever a season ends cause it’s such wonderful fun entertainment!
Back tickles/rubs/anything – I love any touch to my back, love it more than I can say in words. And to my head but this is about my back. I love back tickles, I love back rubs, I love just a hand gliding across my back. It sends the most wonderful little chills down me. Right now Elsa loves to “push me over” when I’m kneeling and then she lifts up my shirt and pats my back, and sometimes she runs her little fingers down my back and even that is amazing! I wish J would do this more. And just because, not only when we’re about to have sex (and if he tries to afterward he falls asleep so quickly so I’m just left wanting more).
Bacon – the candy of meat! So good every once in awhile! And smells so good!
Balloons – not for me, but I’m grateful for them because they bring such joy to my little girl! She loves balloons! Just today at the little grocery store there was a green man balloon hanging from the ceiling and she was loving it!
Beauty – I’m grateful for beauty. It gets harder as I get older, because I see all the young girls who are so beautiful and I just feel older and with more wrinkles. But if I’m not comparing myself to them, or wondering what J is thinking about them, then I definitely appreciate beauty in women. And also beauty in men. And then separately, I absolutely am grateful for all the beauty in nature – trees, flowers, flowing water, sunsets, beautiful light, beautiful landscapes, etc.
Baby bellies – Elsa loves showing us her belly button and it is the cutest little thing ever! I’m so grateful for her big baby belly and how proud she is to show it!
Birthdays – I’m too modest to get too excited about my own birthday, but yet I like it, too, to get extra love on that day. And I’m grateful for being able to give people extra love on their birthdays, and as a way to count the years.
Black – for wearing. I’m so grateful for the perfect non-color that black is and how many wonderful clothes are made in it.
Bodies – I’m very grateful for my body. It’s not perfect, it doesn’t look perfect, doesn’t work perfectly, and I feel like I’m getting a little older, but yet I love it. It carried Elsa for 9 months and that was the most amazing thing ever! And I’m grateful that I can improve my body – through eating better and exercising. I’m working on the first one and soon now that it’s starting to get warmer will start working on the second one.
Books – I used to read a lot, but since living with J I haven’t read much because I like to be with him in my spare time. But I made it a resolution to read a book a month this year. I’m not doing too well on that, I have made it through maybe a third of one book and it’s halfway through February. But I’m glad I’m getting back into it. And I love that there are so many books for enjoyment and so many books for education. I need to get a book on raising toddlers very soon!
Okay there’s my B list!
Elsa is napping right now, she was so tired even when we popped in the grocery store so I laid her right down when we got home. It’s sooooo nice outside though, I so want to go for a walk! The skies are perfectly blue, it’s right around freezing but feels warmer cause of the sunshine, snow is melting! She will probably sleep until 4 (and then I’ll need to start getting dinner ready soon after) but if she happens to wake up soon we’ll go for a walk! And tomorrow definitely cause we have nothing else planned tomorrow!
Here’s a little Valentine’s Day photo I took today to send to our families! She’s so cute!!!!
